already behind the 8 ball

It's only my second post and I am late. That's what life does to you!!

I am selling my house, fixing up all the things that have gone wrong over the years, even before my time. It was a fixer upper when I bought it, very dirty with roaches and spiders that would match any horror film. Did you know that spiders and roaches usually won't co-exist?? I observed this first hand.

I haven't been knitting, maybe a little here and there. Forget sewing, it's too messy and my real estate agent wants the house looking like someone doesn't live here.

I found a sweet dog today, she was visiting the neighbors down the street. She could jump a four foot fence from a standstill. She was a sweetie, sat when I brought her food and just wanting to please. Her name was Roxy.

It's a new day...for me

I needed a creative release on the muses inside me,so that's where this blog starts.

I am a professional, white female with two dogs and a boyfriend who thinks my house is his. His house is twenty five miles from town, and with the gas prices, who could blame him

I am involved in several community projects that relate to my hobbies, sewing, knitting and beading. It's a little like walking into a candystore, choosing one of each, taking them home and figuring out which to eat first.

I have several knitting projects in various stages, several UFO's of quilt tops and of course a great wardrobe in three to 5 yard lengths ready to be made into something!!

I hold several board positions for guilds. Something my mother would have never done. She was always too shy and thought her efforts didn't count. At 85, she is making waves with political opinions. I grew up in the small town that LBJ did. My memories of the Vietnam war was protestors coming to the 'Texas Whitehouse' in VW bugs by the hundreds. Some of my schoolmates were children of the secret service. It was an interesting time. I was four when JFK was shot. It will be interesting to see if they do declassify the FBI records in 2039.

In today's political arena, all I can say is just get out and vote. Check out who, what, when, where, why and how of the candidates best you can, and VOTE!
